After taking down our fall/Thanksgiving decorations and packing them away, my first step to decorating for the holidays was my blog layout.

Now I'm spent! I hope our home decorations go up in a timely manner.

Happy holidays!

  • Tomorrow is my last day of school for Fall break. I HAVE AN ENTIRE WEEK OFF!
  • I love, love, love my AP, my team, and the faculty and staff.
  • For those teachers out there, did you see someone important that I left off of the list above?
  • My team brought me a cake for my birthday that is next week. I told you that I love them.
  • My husband took the kiddo tonight while I went and had drinks with some friends. I love him, too.
  • I have a new iPhone thanks to my super big sister.
  • The iPhone is awesome. I'm addicted.
  • I have a mommy-nerd (baby center moms) friend that once mentioned something about the "terrible twos", the "trying threes", and the "f-ing fours". David and I are in the middle of the "f-ing fours".
  • David is taking Monday off, but we're still shipping the kiddo off to school. :) We're planning on seeing a movie. Maybe sit in the back row and smooch a little.
  • My AP told me that she received a compliment from a parent about me. That makes my day/week/year!!
  • Because David and the kiddo are together tonight, I'm home alone in a quiet house right now. Don't y'all just understand how that feels?!?! Aaawwww....
  • I am just as happy working as I was staying home with Reagan. If not, more so. I am very blessed.

Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!

Mommy Cried, Too

Reagan had his well check today. Here are his stats:

weight: 33.4 pounds (up exactly 4 pounds from last year) 25th percentile
height: 39 inches (up 2 1/2 inches from last year) 25th percentile
BMI (?!?!) is 15.4

He had FIVE!!!!! immunizations, including one for the flu. As Megan's husband, Tim, says "Five is the same as one" when it comes to shots.

And he didn't like it one bit. I so hate vaccinations. What mother doesn't? I was face to face with him, and we were talking about what toy he was going to pick out at Kaleidoscope Toys when "Ow!! Mwahhhhhhhhhh!!!!" happened. That sneaky nurse! He said, "I want Mommy", but I was right there holding him. It broke my heart, and I teared up, too. I tried to keep it in, but I just couldn't stand it.

He's still walking stiffed legged saying his shots hurt. I'm about to dose him up with Motrin.

The positive part of the day was that I got to take 1/2 a day off and pick him up from his Mother's Day Out. I haven't even met his teacher, so this was a nice treat for me. And I loved seeing all of the moms that I have missed seeing this year. It was nice.

Howdy, Pardner!

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend.

A month or so ago, Reagan wanted to be a ghost. Some of you may be thinking "What an easy costume! Just get a sheet!!". Um, no. I can't even make a sheet costume. If I tried, it would look like Charlie Brown's ghost costume--which was covered in holes all over.

Then he wanted to be a fireman. Ok, I could do that!

Or Target could.

So we went to Target to get a fireman costume.

And a Wii Fit, but that is another post.

There were no firemen costumes, but Reagan stumbled across the most adorable (can I still use "adorable" for my 4 year old?) cowboy costume! He tried it on, then galloped through Target while we did the rest of the shopping!

David decided to take his costume into his own hands. I think he had a fear of this again. So we headed to Goodwill to make up his cowboy costume.

I was a cat, again. I was also behind the camera.
