I've been tagged...here's the rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Eight Random Facts About Me:
1. I lived a year and half in South Louisiana~~right in the middle of Cajun Country (New Iberia, LA)~~ while in high school. I spent the second half of my junior year and all of my senior year there. Other than that short time, I have always lived in Texas.
2. I HATE when the cabinet doors/pantry door/closet doors are left open (but I love you very much, David).
3. I am very non-confrontational, and I can not imagine being any other way. I don't even "wish" that I could argue because it makes me very uncomfortable to think about what a situation would be like.
4. David and I knew "of" each other in the 5th grade...our first memories of each other are from then. However, we didn't become friends until 6th grade math class. We've been best friends ever since!
5. My two best girl friends from high school were also Kelly's...Kelly F. in Irving and Keli D. in New Iberia.
6. I hate shots/needles. I have fainted at least twice because of receiving them, and since then I just can't handle evening looking at a syringe. Even if it is on tv, I get the same feeling in my stomach that I do when I think of being argumentative. (see number 3)
7. Don't tell David, but I secretly love the fact that he plays Fantasy Football. I like watching Sunday football with him to cheer on his players. What I don't like about it is that we watch 3 or 4 games at one time~~flipping back and forth! Drives me crazy!!!
8. I wish I were harder on myself than I am.
TAGGED: Everyone that I know who blogs has already been tagged. Would love to read random facts from those of you who don't blog! Just leave me a comment!!

Old, old, old video
Sunday, August 26, 2007
Now that there is a cool little feature which makes it easy to show you video, I wanted to share this one with you. Reagan was 5 months old at the time, and probably just getting good a sitting up on his own. I was pretending to grab his block with my mouth, and it gave him the giggles. David and I were cracking up, too!

Water fun, part 2
This video was taken a few months ago. You can see the pictures that go with this video in a previous post~~Water fun in the summer~~or something like that. My favorite part of this video shows that Reagan has good Aggie potential. Other Aggies out there should recognize it.

Building a bed
I have already told you all about Reagan's "enormous" bed which he has been sleeping in for a couple of weeks now. Well, here are the pictures to show you what a great helper Reagan was for his daddy.
We started building the bed ("we" = David) at about 8pm. I think it was finished around 10:30...past Reagan's bedtime. :) Oops!!

Where does this part go?
Using Daddy's screwdriver in a hole.
Daddy's screwdriver in Reagan's tool box.

Remember, you can click on each picture to see a larger version (these images are small).

Laundry List
Saturday, August 25, 2007
I hate laundry. Absolutely hate it. (Ok, that may be too much.)
I do not like to do the laundry. (Better.)
I am looking at a pile of whites in one of our chairs just waiting to be folded. The problem is that there was a pile of darks that was in that chair this morning, but it is now somewhere in our bedroom~~I put it on the bed this morning, and now David is sleeping...so I don't know where he put the pile.
I can wash the clothes all day long. I just always dread the folding and putting away. Our clean clothes can go days sitting in the living room with us watching re-runs of CSI, and I'm getting very good at ignoring the 500 lb gorilla (or pile of cotton) in the room.
One thing I dislike even more than laundry??? Ironing. But of course, once the laundry has sat in the leather chair for 4 days it needs to be ironed. I have tried so many times to become a super-wife and wash, dry, and fold clothes all within the same day, but it just doesn't stick.
The good news is that we always have clean clothes...well, most of the time. I mean, I have clean clothes. Reagan has clean clothes. David may not always have clean workout clothes (which is a whole post in itself).
I'm taking a giant leap in posting this for friends and family to read. I know that I'm exposing my housekeeping skills to those whom I admire. I think my sister actually enjoys folding clothes!!! But now you all know... So the next time you see David in a wrinkly t-shirt you'll know that it is clean. And it has been clean for quite some time.

Ramblings for me
Monday, August 13, 2007
Although the purpose of this blog is to share Reagan's daily life with our friends and family, I am also using it as my own personal journal. Please feel free to skip this post if you do not want to see the mushy side of me...
I had no idea that I would love being a mom so much. Yet, I still feel too young to be a mom. I think alot of that comes with the fact that I am married to my high school sweetheart. I was talking to David the other day how I don't feel like a mom or like a 32 year old when we're together. I am hoping that most people in love feel the same way, though. Yes, we do have "grown up" responsibilities, but those just go away when we're together. Even the parenting part of our lives feels so "young" to me. It is just so hard for me to put into words...Reagan is relatively new to our lives, but it feels like he has always been here. Meaning that my life with David hasn't changed since Reagan has come into our lives.
That being said...our lives have totally changed! I think we have been on 8 dates since the little guy was born. But we totally love being with him as a family. Although, I think we are both realizing the importance of having a couple time.
My point? How can something so significant change our lives so little, yet at the same time how can our lives be so different without us realizing it? It is amazing to me. I think back to 4 years ago, and I can only remember vague parts~~like I'm sure we went out on the town with our friends, but I can't point out a specific event. But the past 3 years seems like forever to me...in a good way! And I can vividly remember the most insignificant details. How can that be?
(ok, mushy part) I love my boys. I love David as the person that I have known since I was 11. I love him as the provider that he has become. And I totally love him as the wonderful father that he is. (By the way, we still act like we're 11 alot of the time .) I love Reagan for so many reasons. How can this little person melt my heart on a daily basis? This entire weekend he would just hug his daddy while David was carrying him!!! This isn't the norm, so it was very special to see (and I'm sure receive). He told his daddy while David was building his bed for him, "Daddy, you are such a good helper." Wow! He gives me kisses when I request them. And the best part~~he could NOT wait for his great big boy bed just because he wanted Mommy and Daddy to be able to lay down with him. I love it!
If you've gotten this far, thanks for reading the mushy stuff. Like I said, this blog is also for me. I am very fortunate to have the family that I have (and I'm not just talking about the 2 mentioned here).
